Accessing your Google account's settings is the first step in using or setting up your phone as a security key for your Google account. In the Gmail app, touch on your avatar, and then select Manage Your Google Account to do that.




You must also visit the security option once you are in your Google account's settings. Simply select the security option, look for two-step verification, and touch on it.

Once you are in the 2 step verification settings, you must scroll down to find the security key and then simply tap on it.



As this is your first time adding a security key, all you need to do is press Add security key. If you have already added a security key to your Gmail account, either physically or via your phone, the choice will show up here.

However, you must choose one of the gadgets to utilize here as a security key. I'm going to utilize my phone for this stage. Hence, you should also choose your Android phone and go to the following step if you don't have a physical security key.



In order for this step to proceed, Google is requesting that you enable Bluetooth. Thus, if you haven't already, turn on Bluetooth right away, and then touch on Next at the bottom.
